Terms of Service

VillageSQL provides:

  • An open-source, extensible database server based on MySQL 8.4
  • Extensions that add functionality to the database server
  • Documentation, support, and community resources through our website
  • Access to source code repositories on GitHub

VillageSQL Server and its extensions are distributed under open source licenses. The specific license for each component is included in the respective GitHub repository. By using the Software, you agree to comply with the terms of the applicable open source license.

6. User Accounts and Community Participation

Some features, such as GitHub discussions or Discord community access, may require you to create accounts with third-party services. You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
  • All activities that occur under your account
  • Complying with the terms of service of those third-party platforms

We reserve the right to moderate community discussions and remove content or ban users who violate our community guidelines or these Terms.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, VILLAGESQL SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM:

  • Your use or inability to use the Software or website
  • Any unauthorized access to or use of our servers
  • Any bugs, viruses, or other harmful code transmitted through the Software or website
  • Any errors or omissions in content or documentation
  • Any conduct or content of any third party

IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY EXCEED $100 USD.

Your use of our website is also governed by our Privacy Policy. The Software itself does not collect or transmit any telemetry or usage data. Any data you store in VillageSQL databases remains entirely under your control and on your infrastructure.

Our website may contain links to third-party websites or services (such as GitHub, Discord, and documentation platforms). We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or terms of service of these third parties. Your use of third-party services is at your own risk.

12. Modifications to Service and Terms
